The District

A new website that gives The District’s broad offer a clearer structure, so visitors can find an activity, practical details or a booking route without having to search.

01 · Context

The question behind the website.

The District brings karting, bowling, arcade games, food and events together under one roof. The brief was not to cram everything onto one homepage, but to guide visitors quickly to the right activity, practical information or group option.

Constraints

  • Each activity needed its own entry point without feeling like a separate microsite.
  • Practical information and booking had to stay as easy to reach on mobile as on desktop.
  • The content structure had to support new activities, events and temporary campaigns.

02 · My role: structure, UX and development

Decisions and implementation.

  1. From a broad offer to clear routes

We started with the questions visitors actually have: what can we do, is it right for our group and what should we know first? Activities, events, practical information and contact each received a clear place.

  2. A technical foundation for Google and AI

Important pages received one clear intent, semantic HTML, descriptive titles, metadata and URLs, supported by internal links, canonicals and language alternates. That keeps the context clear for search engines and AI systems too.

  3. One system across screens and updates

Reusable sections, responsive imagery and an editable content structure keep navigation, actions and updates consistent across desktop, tablet and mobile.

03 · Outcome

From an offer to a next step.

A recognisable experience

The website translates the energy of the venue into a visual experience that feels like The District.

Faster orientation

Individuals and groups can scan the broad offer and understand the next step more easily.

Room to grow

Reusable building blocks support new activities and campaigns without redesigning the structure each time.

04 · Technical delivery

A solid foundation, measured before launch.

Alongside the design, we checked that the website was technically clear, accessible and indexable — for visitors, Google and other systems that process public information.

A crawlable foundation

Crawlable HTML, clear headings, descriptive metadata, canonicals, language alternates, a sitemap and appropriate structured data help each page make sense.

Content by search intent

Visitors and search engines do not have to rely on a generic homepage: there are clear routes for activities, group questions, events and practical information.

This case describes what was designed and built. Validated before-and-after figures for traffic, enquiries or bookings are not available.
